We believe Occlusal disorders and TMD is often an area of dentistry that is difficult to diagnose and treat. After study at the Pankey Iinstitute and the Hornbrook Group in the U.S.A we feel it is an area we can help other Dentists with. We use the JVA to assess the joints, electromyography to assess masticatory muscle function and the T-scan to assess the occlusion. Where it is indicated a 3-D image of the condyles can be taken using our 3D scanner to assess bony pathology. We offer splint therapy for stabilization and further treatment with equilibriation, restorative, orthodontic and surgical when indicated. We plan all our cases from single crowns through to full reconstruction with the TMJ and Centric Relation as the cornerstone.
